I am a reformed believer in Christ, and I am currently undergoing membership classes with the Orthodox Presbyterian Church. I uphold the 7 points of Calvin, doctrines of grace which I see as true propositions about the Lord and true characterizations of the Bible. Right now at this time in my life, after long periods of absurdity, I want to think of myself as a full-time minister of the Gospel, and deeply hope the Lord would ever make me his servant in ministry through the Church. The absurdity (meaning, the confidence in my own flesh and the spending of gifts upon my own passions) has lasted a long time
and it creeps back every so often, but I am actively receiving grace in the departments of:
Philippians 3:7-11, counting all things loss.
James 4:13-17, viewing my life as a vapor and throwing myself upon the will of God.
I Corinthians 4:1, serving Christ and doing ministry.
I Thessalonians 2, preaching the Gospel and working to please God and not man.
2 Corinthians 10, using weapons of divine warfare and gifts.
Psalm 63, longing after the presence of God.
Psalm 37:4, I Corinthians 9:27, Hebrews 12, for my own joy, subjecting my body and feelings to the loving discipline of the Lord and be controlled by his commands.
Psalm 139, depending on his future grace, remembering his past grace.
I John 3:16, loving the brothers with agape love, with my whole heart and sum of my actions.
A recent graduate of UNC Greensboro, my wife and I are living in North Raleigh. My hometown is Chapel Hill, North Carolina, but I was born in the San Gabriel valley of Los Angeles. My time is mostly filled with reading, working, writing, meetings with brothers and sisters, fooling around online, riding my bike, going to different functions, and trying to find a good game of frisbee, soccer, bball or backyard football! I am eagerly awaiting the Lord if he should send me back to Asia, along with my wife, Sarah, who is a blessing beyond words and a marvelous gift from the Lord!
